Doulas assist a person with a life-limiting diagnosis explore their options, provide access to education and resources, and connect support networks to provide the best possible end of life for those dying, and for those caring for them. Knowing all your options will make a significant difference to you and the people you care about.
Our Services really are for Life and Beyond.
We used to talk about death, to prepare and plan for a future without us. The conversation about death is an act of love, bearing witness to a life well lived, and simply having that conversation could open doors to your inner being.
Talking about death provided comfort and security for everyone involved, and drew us close together when we needed it most. So we're bringing that back and you can too!
Doula is a Greek word which translates as “person of service“. Whilst some people may be aware of the role of a Birth Doula, End of Life Doulas are becoming more well known, but have been around for centuries. Birth Doulas assist with the start our life's journey, End of Life Doulas assist with the end.
We are honoured and grateful to be able to share these moments with people, and those closest to them, during the twilight of their life and beyond.
We specialise in providing End of Life Doula Services and family-led Funeral Services, providing authentic, heart-felt, meaningful services for you, your family and community to come together in a place of your choice and to provide the type of farewell you want. In our Western society, death has become a far more ‘medicalised’ event. The truth is, death is not a medical event. It is a deeply personal, individual, family and community event.
We help you have your end of life journey on your own terms, according to your own choices, as the only time you don’t have a choice is when you haven’t made one!
It's all about you. It's your life, and it's your death, your way.

Until the 19th century, Death Care and funerals were family and community affairs. The family, sometimes with assistance from an experienced community member, laid out the body, dressed or draped it, and ordered a coffin from the local carpenter or made it themselves. People from all cultures have been caring for their dead for millennia – regardless of the climate, type of illness, age of deceased or traumatic circumstance surrounding the death.
Where once we would have cared for our aging and dying at home, these days our elders are cared for in aged care facilities and hospitals, which can often contribute to an isolated, lonely and disempowered end of life and death. An End of Life Doula can change this with providing specific services, support, education, and walking alongside people towards the end of their lives as well as their families and friends, through the many stages of end of life, providing non-medical, non-clinicial care for people on their end of life journey.
